Congratulations Nina Levine
 New England Swimming’s Swimmer of the Month!          

The November Swimmer of the Month is Nina Levine from the Manchester Y Tiger Sharks. She comes to practice to work hard and makes goals for herself for each meet. During the past month she has dropped time in all twelve events, with the most incredible drop coming in her 500 Free. Nina is not only a very talented swimmer, but is also a top student and musician. She sets high goals for herself and is extremely self motivated. The older swimmers on the team use her as an example of how to be motivated, thus making her a leader of the team at only 11 years old. Her coach, Jennifer Cullen, commented that Nina is a bright and promising young lady, and one of the most dedicated swimmers she has ever worked with.

The Tiger Shark Swim Team is a YMCA and USA swimming program, which follows the strong YMCA competitive philosophy of: "Everybody Swims, Everybody Wins".

It is very important to remember that the nature of the sport requires consistency and commitment to achieve a desired level of performance at any age.

Participants in the program are expected to show a degree of commitment by participation in training sessions and swim meets. The Tiger Shark Swim Team is set up as a progressive program. As each swimmer gets stronger and improves upon their strokes, they move onto the next practice group. This way the swimmer is always being challenged. Our program is unique in that we offer more practices each week than we expect the swimmers to attend. This offers your family the flexibility to attend practices on your schedule.
